Referred by your dentist

Your dentist sent you to the right place. Here is the one thing to do next.

Your dentist already did the hard part, recognizing that this needs a specialist. All that is left is telling us you are coming. Text your name to (718) 643-1953 and the office will call you back to find a time.

You do not need to bring anything from your dentist. We request the records and x-rays ourselves.

Why your dentist chose us

Dentists across Downtown Brooklyn have been sending patients here since 2008. They keep doing it for reasons that matter to you too.

  • You stay with your own dentist. We treat gums, bone, and implants, then hand you back with a written summary.
  • Gum disease is treated non-surgically first, then re-measured. Surgery is what happens when the numbers do not improve, not the opening move.
  • Both doctors are board certified diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology with teaching appointments at NYU.
  • We are minutes from your dentist's office at 26 Court Street, so this does not become a trip across the city.
  • After treatment, (718) 643-1953 reaches a direct line to the doctor on call, not a service.

What happens from here

  1. 1

You tell us you were referred

Text or call (718) 643-1953, or send the appointment request. Give us your name and your dentist's name, and we take it from there, including requesting your records and x-rays.

  2. 2

    We confirm and prepare

The office confirms your time and checks your out-of-network benefits in advance, so the visit is about your teeth rather than paperwork. New patient registration is completed online before you arrive.

  3. 3

    The consultation

About an hour: full periodontal charting, in-office 3D imaging where it is indicated, and the images reviewed with you on screen. You hear the diagnosis in plain language, along with the least invasive option that will actually hold.

  4. 4

You leave with a written plan

The sequence, the fee, and your estimated out-of-pocket in writing. Nothing is scheduled until you agree, and your dentist receives a written summary of what we found.

The two questions everyone has

What will it cost?

You get the fee, the sequence, and your estimated out-of-pocket in writing before anything is scheduled. We file the claim as a courtesy, and CareCredit is available.

Will it hurt?

Treatment is done under local anesthesia, with sedation available. Most patients describe soreness for two to three days rather than pain, and work the next day.

Questions referred patients ask

My dentist referred me. What do I do first?
Call or text (718) 643-1953, or request an appointment online. You do not need paperwork from your dentist first, we request the records and x-rays ourselves.
Do I have to leave my regular dentist?
No. We treat gums, bone, and implants only, then send you back to your own dentist with a written summary. Your dentist keeps your restorative care and cleanings.
What happens at the first visit?
A full periodontal examination with charting, 3D imaging where it is needed, a review of the images with you on screen, and a written plan with the fee and your estimated out-of-pocket. It runs about an hour, and no treatment is done that day unless you want it.
Will my insurance cover this?
We are out of network with all dental plans. Payment is due at the visit, and we file the claim electronically as a courtesy so your plan can reimburse you directly. You receive your estimated out-of-pocket in writing before anything is scheduled. CareCredit financing is available.
How long does it take to be seen?
Call or text (718) 643-1953 and the office will find the first workable time, and urgent problems such as swelling, an abscess, or a loose implant are prioritized.

Send us your name and we will do the rest.

One text is enough to start. The same number takes texts, message us and the office will reply.

Ready when you are.

Tell us what's going on and the office will call you back with a time. If it's easier, just text us your name.
