Case Studies (Simple Periodontal, Complex Periodontal, Connective Tissue, Regeneration, Sinus Grafting, Implants)

Here is a 31 year old female with localized periodontitis.

Following non-surgical therapy, there was reduction of inflammation, reduction in edema, but there is resulting tooth recession from the infection. Oral hygiene, as you can see, is greatly improved.

Severe generalized periodontitis from years of dental neglect and poor oral hygiene. This 52 year old patient is taking medication that causes enlargement of the gingival tissues, which has further worsened his condition.

following improvement of oral hygiene at home, and a combination of non-surgical and conservative surgical intervention, he responded favorably.

this 35 year old patient complains of significant tooth sensitivity. Despite the use of specialized toothpastes, sensitivity to cold still lingered.

A soft tissue graft was completed and following a short healing period, the gingiva is now in a favorable position along the necks of the teeth, protecting the roots.

This 40 year old male presented with a large localized periodontal infection. There is complete loss of bony support between the two teeth.

this radiograph / x-ray was taken 16 months after bone graft was completed. The bony anatomy appears fully restored.

This image was acquired 9 months following a sinus bone graft. Strategic placement of the graft ensures adequate support for the future dental implant.

An implant is placed between  a narrow dental space, allowing for a simple restoration by the restorative dentist.

Another implant placed between two teeth. Note the parallelism between the implant and root which allows for excellent restorability by an implant crown.

two implants placed into the uppoer jaw of a 62 year old female. Note again the parallelism between the implants which allows for excellent restorability.

Here’s a case showing several implants placed into the upper jaw. A “stent” or guide was utilized along with a CAT scan prior to implant surgery. Note the last implant (on the right side). The white material surrounding the implant on the right is bone graft material. This bone graft was meticulously inserted under the sinus prior to implant placement, to ensure maximal bone healing and integration of the implant.

Another case of two implants placed in a 53 year old male who already has several functioning implants.
